About Moon Cookies
Moon Cookies is an otherworldly indica-dominant hybrid. This strain is a backcross of the legendary Girl Scout Cookies with itself and provides users with a euphoric, relaxing high. Originating in Seattle, Moon Cookies is right at home and has a THC content ranging from a modest 15% to a whopping 29%.
Moon Cookies stands out right away with above average sized flowers which maintain a chunky shape. Their internal structure shows clear indica influence, with a dense core made up of closely-coiled leaves. The leaves are a yellowish green that are punctuated by several curly orange pistils, and a coating of translucent white trichomes that makes these flowers very sticky and difficult to break up by hand.
When cured, flowers of Moon Cookies have the same predominantly earthy, nutty aroma that makes parent strain GSC so popular. A closer whiff will pick up on some tangy notes of berry and citrus, and when ground up or broken apart can yield more of a sour skunky odor. Burning these buds gives off a thick, acrid smoke that may throw some smokers into a coughing fit. However, on the exhale, this harsh smoke tastes pleasantly toasty and slightly fruity.
As with many other indica-dominant strains, the high from Moon Cookies takes its time arriving. Eventually, smokers are hit with heavy, head-focused sensations, but as they acclimatize they may find that their thoughts have taken on a new complexity. Spontaneous ideas may seem uncannily connected to one’s surroundings or to any ambient topics of conversation. This mental stimulation can contribute to bouts of creativity for those who are properly motivated. Alternatively, Moon Cookies’ cerebral vibe can simply be a pleasant way to brighten up otherwise boring household chores.
As time passes, or as intake is increased, Moon Cookies’ effects begin to take more of a physical bent. Users may feel their limbs and eyelids start to sag in equal measure at the same time that they experience a release from any stubborn knots of muscular tension. At this point, smokers may find it somewhat harder to concentrate or converse. Moon Cookies’ initial head high can start to manifest in strange sensory distortions like mild visual hallucinations or a sense of time moving more slowly. Users who enjoy these trippy phenomena can amplify them with the help of some moody music or a visually dynamic movie. Because of its slow march towards sedation, Moon Cookies is recommended for evening use, when it can be fully savored.
While valuable to recreational users, this mellow high can also have several benefits for medical patients. Its mood-boosting qualities can temporarily improve the symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and even PTSD. It can also soothe physical pain, whether it’s due to temporary inflammation (as in the case of nausea or headaches) or to chronic conditions like arthritis and lupus. In a totally relaxed set and setting, this bud may even put users to sleep, making it a solid option for insomniacs. Because it comes with a fairly low risk of “mind-race” or disordered thinking, Moon Cookies is a good option for patients who are prone to paranoia or who have a low tolerance for THC.
Unfortunately for home growers, seeds of Moon Cookies are not available online. For those looking to cultivate their own should seek out clippings of mature plant that can be fostered as “clones” and can be grown in controlled indoor environments or outdoors in hot, humid climates. Judging by this strain’s dense, indica-inflected flowers, we can guess that it grows short and bushy with strong, lateral branching. These indica roots also imply that crops flower within a relatively short eight to nine weeks.
A thorough and luxurious smoke that’s best saved for the end of the day, Moon Cookies is worth seeking out by indica lovers. It may be of particular interest to fans of parent strain Girl Scout Cookies.

I dont know how this strain got 5 stars. It has a nice smell. Not much crystal. Not much of a buzz. I’m not a heavy smoker so that says alot. Burns really good. Perfect cure. Just not much of a buzz..

I was so looking forward to this strain and it did not disappoint! These super fluffy buds make for a super relaxing yet motivating high. It’s easy to see the GSC heritage. Another household hit from BWIB!

Feels like coming home to a home cooked meal. Never gets you too high, but doesn’t play around either. Perfect for any occasion. Lowkey, subtle, but also loving and kind. A classic.

Kind of a medium strength strain. I can see why people say it motivates you to get stuff done, but it’s also kind of soothing and relaxing. So you could go either way with it…

This is by far my most enjoyed flower. The high is extremely relaxing yet leaves you sensible for interaction. I’m prone to anxiety attacks and unlike some of the stronger Hybrid’s this left me feeling calm, cool and in control. Recommend for everyone.
